After learning to play Fearless by Pink Floyd, which is played in an unusual open G tuning on an acoustic guitar, I experimented with that tuning, and Jammed with it. Joey, the sound guy at Good Vibrations Watford liked what I was doing and declared it must be recorded.

Joey and I started with him on drums and me on acoustic guitar, recording a jam session. Later, Joey pulled out the last section of the recording and had a base to work with.

Others were invited to contribute, and what a fine job they all did. Collectively, we call ourselves “The Coelacanths” — and yes, we’ve heard enough fishy puns, thank you.
